Healthy Turkey Meatballs

These healthy turkey meatballs are a leaner alternative to ground beef and brimming with flavor. These meatballs are super quick and easy to make. Just six simple ingredients are all you need. They freeze incredibly well, ensuring that you have a fast, protein-packed snack or meal anytime.

Ground turkey is an excellent protein source, especially when it comes to weight loss. Eating more poultry may help reduce your risk of becoming overweight and developing cardiovascular diseases and type 2 diabetes. It has just as much (if not more) protein as ground beef, but with fewer calories and considerably lower fat. The mild flavor of ground turkey is also the perfect vehicle to let the flavor of the seasonings—and the SSG crisps—shine through.

1 lb lean ground turkey
1-1/2 cups finely chopped bell peppers (any or all colors)
1/4 cup cilantro
3 TBSP Mrs. Dash herb seasoning 
1 TBSP sea salt  


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. 
  2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. 
  3. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. 
  4. Roll each meatball into one-ounce servings. Place each turkey ball on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through.

Once they have cooled, separate them into zip-top sandwich bags and keep them in your freezer. Take out when you need lunch or a snack on the go!
