The Shift Fit Plan is a unique program that is only applicable on days that you exercise. Exercise guidelines involve 20 minutes of physical activity that leaves you slightly breathless while holding a conversation and produces an elevated heart rate. The type, duration, and level of exertion are all important factors to consider while planning out ShiftSetGo Fit days.
What are some exercise ideas?
Exercise and healthy eating are a winning combination. While the benefits are seemingly endless, here is a quick snapshot:
Disease prevention. A healthy diet and regular movement are the cornerstones for reducing your risk of developing health issues like heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, stroke, depression, several types of cancer, and arthritis.
Mood and energy. Chemicals in the brain called endorphins are activated by exercise and make us feel happy and positive while actively decreasing feelings of stress. Healthy eating can have a similar effect by decreasing stress and anxiety. Foods such as fiber and omega-3 fatty acids produce anti-inflammatory effects on the brain, resulting in a decreased risk of depression, anxiety, and stress. The combination of both exercise and healthy eating is a dramatic increase in mental and physical health!
Weight loss. Weight is a key factor in the development of heart disease, high cholesterol, blood pressure, and a laundry list of other conditions. Losing weight makes you feel and heal better! This is also how we will best support your health journey with our ShiftSetGo program!
Sleep. About 70 million Americans suffer from chronic sleep problems. Sleep issues directly correlate with susceptibility to injuries, chronic diseases, mental illnesses, poor quality of life, and overall wellbeing. Exercise can directly impact your sleep quality by boosting your ability to fall asleep and stay asleep.
There is no guesswork involved in our Shift Fit program—your personal coach will explain the daily requirement of carbohydrates, protein, and fats, as well as the benefits of additional supplementation. All you have to do is follow the program!
