Ingredients
- For the Seasonings:
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- ¼ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- For the Carnitas:
- 2 lbs flank steak
- 1 cup red bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup red bell pepper, diced
- 1 jalapeno, diced
- For the Tacos:
- Jicama taco shells
- Shredded lettuce or red cabbage
- Fresh Pico salsa
- Raw onion, diced
- Fresh lime wedges
- Hot sauce
Instructions

Mix all dry seasonings together in a small bowl.

Generously rub your flank steak with the seasonings.

Place your meat in the bottom of your cock pot.

Cover meat with your bell peppers and jalapenos.

Cover with lid. Turn heat on low and cook for 8 hours.

Remove meat from pot and shred with a fork. The meat should come apart very easily.

Load up your jicama shells with carnitas, lettuce, salsa, raw onion, a twist of lime and hot sauce.
Tips
