Spiced Chai Tea

Spiced Chai Tea

Unlike the chai tea you might get at some local coffee shop drive-thru, this is more of a take on the traditional spiced chai—i.e., a lot less sugar. The smell of the tea as it steeps is about as pleasant as it gets. The hot version of this spiced chai tea is the perfect addition to any fall or winter morning. Make it iced for an excellent coffee replacement on any hot summer day.

Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 3 minutes

Stage: 1|2

Ingredients
ShiftSetGo Vanilla Ready To Go Drink
chai spice tea bag
8-12 oz water
2 tsp Walden Farms Marshmallow Dip
Cinnamon stick (optional)
Nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add water, tea bag, and cinnamon stick to a medium saucepan. Heat the water over medium-high heat until hot (about 8 minutes).
  2. Remove the tea bag and cinnamon stick. Stir in the vanilla shake and marshmallow dip. Mix well and pour into a large mug. Garnish with nutmeg (if using).
  3. Enjoy!

Tip
This can easily be made into a delicious iced chai tea.

If you don’t want to heat up your house in the summer, try cold-steeping your tea. Combine your water and tea in a jar, cover, and let steep at room temperature for at least 4 hours. The longer you let it sit, the stronger it will be. (You can leave it all day if you want to!) Once your tea is done, remove the teabag, add the vanilla shake and marshmallow dip to the jar, cover tightly with a lid, and shake well until combined.
