Matcha is a finely ground powder from specially grown green tea leaves that are incredibly rich in catechins and antioxidants. One study suggests matcha contains 137 times more epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) than China Green Tips green tea and at least three times more than other green teas. And while regularly drinking matcha has demonstrated numerous health benefits, like other green teas, it also shows promise in boosting your ability to burn fat and keep it off.
Regularly drinking matcha may also help enhance the fat-burning benefits of moderate-intensity exercise and help lower glucose levels while improving insulin sensitivity.
